ABOUT.ME
Me llamo Belén Soto y en este blog me gustaría mostraros algunas etapas del trabajo diario del ceramista, centrándome en la creación de piezas de autor, vivo en Vigo, España y es aquí donde he establecido mi taller artesano.
Siempre me ha gustado trabajar con la arcilla y descubrir los cambios que en ella se van produciendo en las diferentes fases por efecto del proceso cerámico, aunque mis primeros estudios han girado entorno al modelado artístico, no he abandonado mi formación en todos estos años abriéndome nuevos caminos dentro de esta maravillosa disciplina que tanto me apasiona.
El ceramista modela el barro con sus manos y por efecto del fuego le transmite calidez y consistencia creando una pieza única.

Me imagino, ya que has visitado mi blog, tu también tienes algún dolor crónica como yo. Al igual de mi escrito de mi blog, me parece que tú tambien has encontrado trabajo que se puede hacer aun si tenga dolor. Con las manos en el barro de arcilla, es como si estés todavía niña! Qué diversión!
El dolor me priva de energía, así que es demasiado difícil (y doloroso) trabajar ocho horas continuas un día después de otro con sólo dos días para descansarse, y tuve que renunciar trabajando en la informática hace cuatro años. Ahora, sólo puedo trabajar intermitente, quizás dos horas continuamente, entonces necesito un descanso de al menos diez minutos (y algunas veces algunas horas) antes de resumir. Sólo tengo la energía suficiente para escribir mi blog, pero no mucho más.
Disculpes me de tantos errores en mi español. He estado estudiando español desde hace unos años – esta es mi otra actividad cuando tengo que quedar me en casa tanto tiempo. Estoy aprendiendo sólo por mí misma, así que mi progreso es muy, muy lento.
Ojalá que tú y tus perros (ellos son los mejores compañeros cuando trabajando en casa, ¿no?) tengan hoy un buen día juntos 🙂
